This wooden Catholic church in the classical style with Baroque elements was built in 1904. It was supposed to be a temporary church next to the place where they were planning to build a brick church soon. However, this was prevented by the arrival of Soviet power, during which, of all the Catholic shrines in the city, this one was the only one in operation.
