The arch was built on the former Cathedral Square, in a small park next to the building of the former land and Peasant bank in the classic brick style in 1780. After the Second World War, a significant reconstruction of this architectural monument was carried out. Perhaps it was then that the through-arched passage was converted into a blind niche, on which memorial plaques were installed.
