Mestkovichi

According to local residents and parishioners of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, the first wooden church on this site was built at the expense of the lords of the local estate of Skirmuntov. It was dismantled by Russian troops during the First World War. The current shrine was built on the basis of an apartment building in 1922. During the years of the German occupation, it was devastated. After the Second World War, the Soviet authorities closed the church, and it was only in 1987 that the church began to receive believers again.
