Mstislavl-1

For 500 years, the Mstislav Castle has endured numerous sieges. As a result, the castle was finally destroyed by the Moscow state. Since 1386, the castle has repeatedly withstood sieges by Moscow troops. During the war of 1654-1667, it was burned down, but it was immediately rebuilt by the residents of the city. In 1660 and 1708, the castle was razed to the ground by order of the Moscow tsar. The fortress was restored again and lasted until 1772.
