Kondratovsk

/ Description

Once it was a relatively small settlement, known since 1768. It was part of the Mstislav Voivodeship of the Russian Empire as the property of a local noble family. There were several farmsteads located next to the estate. On the right bank of the Vikhra river, about a dozen burial mounds of the 9th century and a large hillfort have been preserved on the territory of the local cemetery, which dates back to the 1st millennium BC. There are also several settlements that existed on the site of the modern village in the 12th-15th centuries.
