Mogilev. The Jewish Cemetery

/ Description

We are heading to the residential area "Jubilee". Once these places of Mogilev were known as Mashekovka. Here, surrounded by Olchinskaya and National Descent streets, the Jewish cemetery, famous since the very end of the 19th century, has been partially preserved. Those matsevas that were newly installed date back to the end of the 19th century. After the Second World War, part of the cemetery was allocated by the authorities for residential buildings and garages. The Acropolis suffered the greatest damage in the 70s of the twentieth century. Only at the beginning of the 21st century. the territory was equipped and fenced.
