Vaskov stone

Not far from the intersection of the road, the left arm of which goes to the village of Krinitsa, and the right – to the village of Zaberezye, there is a Vaskov stone. It lies in a beautiful mixed forest on a small hill. Tall pines and slender birches, surrounding it from all sides, seem to protect both this stone and this place, mysterious, magical.

Manor House Tower

At one time, the rich Volsky estate flourished here. To this day, one of the two five-story towers of the manor house, built of brick in 1854, has been preserved. You can still see the huge, well-preserved building of a water mill made of rubble stone. Arched passages for water flows are carved in the basement of the mill. The stone and brick forge building has also been preserved.

The Dungeon Tower

G113 was founded in 1276. At the same time, the famous donjon tower was erected. As part of the VKL, the settlement belonged to Keystut and Vytautas. In 1914, a new stone church of St. Simon was erected on the site of the ancient temple in the retrospective Russian style. In 1925, the Peter and Paul Church was built in the historicism style. The buildings of the synagogue and the Jewish school, the gymnasium building (1931), the watermill (19th century) and the interesting buildings of the ancestral buildings of the city (19th-20th centuries) have been preserved.

Water towers

Two eclectic towers stand at 2 Sverdlov Street. One of them was built in 1890, the other twenty years later. Experts on the architecture of the city claim that it was the south tower that was built first. When a water supply system appeared in the city, the need for such facilities immediately arose. It is also surprising that the towers have female names – "Kasia" and "Basia". Today there are workshops of urban artists here.

The windmill

One of my favorite topics is the windmills of Belarus, especially the windmills. One of the few goat mills has been preserved here. It was built in 1901. Today the mill is abandoned. The mechanisms, which have been preserved well enough, could still serve for the operation of the mill or occupy a place in the Ethnographic Museum.

Obukhovich Distillery

Here you can see the huge walls of the former distillery and outbuildings of the estate of the Obukhovich family, founded here in the middle of the XIX century. There are still strong walls of the former manor house in the Ancient Park. All the buildings, if properly inspected, could still serve.

Virlovichi

In this secluded place, on a very picturesque small hill, there has been a wooden church of St. Nicholas since 1746. Peter and Paul. In 1961, the Soviet government destroyed it. There are ruins of the former manor house"Naborovism". These are the ruins of a fairly large brewery built of rough stone. A watermill was built from the same material on the banks of the Syro River. Today, there is a modest cross on the hill where the Catholic shrine stood, and the ruins of the distillery were recently cleared of trees and shrubs by good people. After some time, maybe mlynok will wait for the diligent hands of our caring compatriots.

Vitayskaya source

A difficult fate in this source. From the distant past to the present day, there has been a series of troubles associated with it: chapels erected over it were burned, and it was filled in. Today, everything is properly equipped here: a chapel and a font have been built, and work is underway to arrange a parking lot. The source is considered curative. On religious holidays, there are always a lot of visitors and those who want to plunge into the water of the spring.

According to local legend, at the end of the 14th century, the Virgin Mary appeared at this place. The Mother of God asked people to build a temple here, and so that they would not forget her request, she knelt and touched the ground, and immediately this spring flowed from under her palm as a reminder. In Soviet times, it was barbarously covered with sand and stone. Most recently, the holy spring was restored and it was solemnly consecrated during the festive liturgy.

Bezdonka Lake

If you turn off the M1 highway and drive through the village of Pavlovshchyna to the village of Mostyshche, and then follow the field road to the edge of the forest and walk a little through it, you can see an incredibly beautiful and mysterious forest lake. It is covered with numerous legends and legends, one of which I will definitely share with you one day. Yes, this is the Bottomless Lake, which is not so easy to find, but if you do find it, you will be endlessly fascinated by it.

Lake Palik

In fact, it is part of the Berezina River. But it was in this cherished place in the forest that it seemed to stop and spread out into a beautiful forest lake, and after resting, it ran on, which is reflected in a rather interesting legend. The lake has an area of almost 7.6 km2 and a length of just over 6 km. The average depth is about 2 m. This natural pearl is gradually overgrown, but there are also sandy beaches, from which it is easy to take special pictures in the piggy bank of your photo album.

Holy Lake

Lake Svyatoe is located near the villages of Pervomaysk and Okolitsa in the Gomel region. There are many legends and beliefs associated with this lake.

The Giant

When leaving Rakov for the village of Stary G G157⟫, you should carefully look at the small field lying to the left of the road. Our new friend is lying in the middle of this field, about two hundred meters away. The main part of this stone is probably in the ground. In the village of Stary⟫ G157, you can hear several legends about this giant.

Vladislav Syrokomli Street

Vladislav Syrokol died on September 15, 1862 in Vilna. He was 39 years old. He was buried in the Rasu cemetery. In addition to the memorial plaque in the church in Nesvizh and the bust in the park, streets in Vilnius, Warsaw, Nesvizh, Novogrudok, and Minsk are named after the poet... Memorial stones have been installed, and his works are being published. Unfortunately, there is no monument to Vladislav Syrokol in Belarus yet.

In my personal opinion, the first and very weighty argument in favor of the fact that this cross was once broken from a small pagan idol is that another "clean" cross is stamped on its surface. Why was it so insistent to assert that it was the cross in front of a person, and not a pagan deity? The cross on the cross may have been embossed at the same time as the text below, which is now almost invisible, as it is well-sprinkled with earth. In this case, we have a much older historical artifact in front of us.

Khreptovich Production Area: factory buildings

The famous estate has been owned by the famous Khreptovich family since the end of the 19th century. Since 1600. Under Chancellor Joachim Hreptovich, Vishnevo has become one of the largest production centers. There were pottery, glass, brick factories, and a cloth factory. The iron foundry was considered the largest and most famous in Lithuania. Weapons were produced here for the participants in the 1794 uprising. The buildings of the foundries, the house of the manager or the housekeeper, were partially preserved.

Production building

During the heyday of the estate, there was a starch factory, a brewery and a sugar factory. The huge main building of the sugar factory has been preserved. The famous Bulgakov sugar, which was known far beyond the borders of the country, was produced here. There was a watermill on the estate, and they grew herbs and vegetables for sale.
