Once there was a huge complex of residential and outbuildings of the Jesuit Collegium, the third largest on the lands of the USSR (1584). In 1826, the Moscow authorities destroyed the Collegium and erected barracks for Russian troops in its place. In the 1920s, a Polish regiment was stationed here, and after World War II, a Soviet military unit. Today, all the buildings are on the balance of the city authorities, and in a small building of the former forge there are ticket offices and an exhibition hall.

I am sure that once upon a time, this hero spent his birth and the first decades of his life surrounded by forests and forests. Then, under some circumstances, the forest disappeared, and the oak tree was left alone. Now he is the ruler of a wide treeless countryside. They say that he may even be more than 500 years old. The height of the tree is 35 meters, the diameter of the ground is about 3 meters. The powerful condition of the oak is impressive, with its trunks and branches freely scattered in width. Lean towards his execution, listen, maybe he will whisper one of his wonderful legends to you.

The College of Jesuits

This architectural monument, unique for Belarus, was built of brick in the late Baroque style with Renaissance elements. In 1635, this educational institution of the Jesuit Order was built for more than ten years. The collegium had a five-grade gymnasium, a pharmacy, a small theater and a printing house. Today, the Museum of the Belarusian Polesie is located in the collegium building.

At the beginning of 1921, Litoy G153 Litoy-Litovsk became part of Poland, and in August of the same year, a grandiose development of residential areas was launched in the city-colonies of Narutovichya, Tartak, and Caches with Baroque houses. According to the plan of the Polish architect Lisetsky, over time these areas were to become part of the development in the form of a garden city. This unique part of Brest is worth the attention of every traveler.

The Calvinist Cathedral

Since the 16th century. These lands were owned by the Kaviachinskys, Radziwills, and Krasinskys. Since 1690, they have been dependent. Two outbuildings, a mill, and outbuildings have been preserved from the former Kukhtich estate. In 1560, a Calvinist cathedral with the features of a fortress church was built. In the 17th century. – the church. In the XVIII century. - the tomb chapel. A Renaissance-style building has been erected. Both the wings and the chapel urgently require restoration.

Graves of the 18th century have been preserved in the ancient city cemetery. Today, the cemetery is considered Orthodox. Perhaps the fence made of hewn fieldstone was laid out in the middle of the 19th century. Most likely, at this time, a new stone gate was erected, which was once closed with a wrought-iron lattice.

Stone Watermill Building

The village has preserved a solid stone building of a watermill, built in 1782. The mill operated until 1980, although it was already powered by an electric drive.

The Stone Church of St. Michael

The first wooden church that stood on this site has been mentioned since 1387. It was built under the Grand Duke of Lithuania Jagiello. The modern stone church of St. Michael was built of brick in the Neo-Baroque style in 1906. After the Second World War, the church was closed and used as an industrial building. In 1989, the church was restored and returned to the faithful. The church is decorated with elegant openwork domes.

Stone Complex

This unique place was first mentioned at the very end of the twentieth century. Next to the P28 road, you can see five stones in the form of flat slabs with signs that mainly indicate the phases of the moon. The stone complex is oriented towards the North Star. Perhaps this is a pagan temple, which is at least one and a half thousand years old.

Near the village, on the shore of Lake Yanava, you can see a unique monument of the history and culture of our country. This stone complex may represent an ancient observatory. It is also called the "Belarusian Stonehenge". On the other shore of the lake rises Mount Volatovka, which is part of this unique complex.

One of the largest stone crosses in Belarus is located here. According to historians, the cross can be attributed to the XIV-XV centuries. Most likely, the cross is much older and could have been cut from a pagan idol, and this may already be pre-Christian times.

In the Grodno region, not many such witnesses of history have survived, unlike, for example, the Vitebsk or Minsk regions. In this village you can see a stone cross, which preserves many stories and legends. Some of them are still preserved in the memory of local residents. One of the legends in the "Legends" section is dedicated to this stone cross.

On the road from Lyuban to Izha, between the old cemetery and the road, a large stone cross of beautiful shape is installed on an artificial hill. This unique monument of the past has been completely preserved.

A small brick barn and fragments of an entrance alley that once led to a huge estate have been preserved. You can see the wooden school building, built in 1924, and nearby there is an ancient stone cross brought from somewhere. The place around the cross is well maintained and planted with flowers.

One of the Orsha stone crosses is embedded in the paving stones at the modern Orthodox Cathedral of St. Michael. The former watermill, built in 1902, is now home to the city's ethnographic museum with a rich collection of antiquities. Next to the mill is a large arch bridge in good condition, built of brick and stone at the same time as the mill itself.
