Yeshiva (1806)
In front of the traveler is not just a yeshibot, but the first higher theological school in Eastern Europe for the training of rabbis. Among other things, the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Abram Cook, studied here. Classes in yoshibot began to be held in 1806. In 1896, the tsarist authorities closed the institution. In the ancient Jewish cemetery located in the central part of the city, you can see the grave of the founder of Yeshibot, Chaim Volozhiner.
