Not far from a fairly large village, on the edge of swampy forests stretching all the way to the Berezina River, a modest Catholic chapel, built in 1890, has survived to our time in an ancient local cemetery. Over time, it was rebuilt several times, but this religious building miraculously preserved the original features of folk architecture. It is built of wood, has beautiful paneling and a small terrace on four wooden pillars.

Shklov. Stone crosses

Having had a good look at the construction of the Transfiguration Church in Shklov, we will stay for a moment in its landscaped and well-kept courtyard. Here, among the numerous evergreen shrubs and many different flowers, we can see several ancient monuments of our antiquity — stone crosses. There are damaged ones, and there are also those that have been well preserved to our time. I tried to ask the people who serve at the temple - where did the crosses come from? There were different answers, but unfortunately none were correct.

Shklov. Railway station

The railway came to G171 in 1903. It was part of the St. Petersburg–Odessa railway line, which ran from Vitebsk through Orsha and G171 to Zhlobin, where it ran in two directions: to Mozyr and G120. Initially, the station in Shklov had a wooden one-story building, but during the First World War it was significantly damaged by fire, and in 1916 a new brick station building was erected on the old foundations. After the Second World War, the roof of the station was slightly modified.

Jewish Prayer School

At one time, the city's educational system also included Jewish educational institutions of a secular and religious nature: craft schools, gymnasiums, and technical schools. Many of the educational institutions were free for the city's poorer Jewish population. In some schools, full-time education was provided, from elementary grades to universities. One of the schools is located on the street. Telman Street, 10. Today it houses a state law enforcement agency.

Hospital: Building No. 1

The hospital buildings were built of brick in the Gothic Revival style with Art Nouveau elements at the expense of the Radziwill family magnate in 1909. The medical institution operated successfully until 1917. After World War II, an elementary school was located here for some time. Then the former hospital buildings were used by the municipal services of Kletsk.

Shemetova

The family possessions of the noble family of Skirmunt. Back in 1900, there was a brewery, a mill, and a brick factory. The ruins of a blacksmith shop, a barn, a distillery, and a brick plebania (XVIII century) have been preserved. In 1815, the brick church of the Virgin Mary was built in the neoclassical style. Initially, it was the tomb chapel of the Sulistrovsky family. The temple is decorated with magnificent stained glass windows. Nearby you can see a monument of folk architecture-a wooden bell tower (XIX century).

On the edge of a good country road, there is, as the wooden sign says, the exhibition "funeral rites of our ancestors." It's up to you to determine how well it was created. You should definitely look here, because here you can see a variety of stone crosses, most likely brought here from different places where they were originally installed. I personally have good impressions.

Yutsk springs

In these places there was once a small estate, where Karus Kaganets – Belarusian poet, translator, sculptor, artist, public figure, author of the first Belarusian primer – spent his youth. Not far from the village you can see a unique natural monument of republican significance – "Yutska Springs". The glacial canyon is a place of pilgrimage for people seeking pure medicinal water.

A natural monument of national importance. A large glacial canyon, with many small springs flowing from its walls. When you descend the stairs leading into the depths of the canyon, it is as if you descend millions of years into the past. To find this natural wonder, you will need to ask the locals, because there are no signs and signs. At the moment, the springs are being equipped.
