Stankovo. Church
In 1868, a new brick Orthodox church in the retrospective Russian style, consecrated in honor of St. Michael, was built on the foundation of an older wooden Uniate church, known since the beginning of the 18th century. With the advent of Soviet power, the shrine was closed and completely looted, even to the point of melting down the domes, and in the early 1960s the temple was completely blown up. The church stood in ruins until 2011, after which it was restored and opened to the faithful.
